The ‘Old Skool’ Vans craze has blown up over the last couple of months, and it seems that EVERYONE has a pair. Although there is a huge variety of colours and styles, I opted for the classic black shoe with the white detailing. The Old Skool Vans are a slightly thicker plimsoll with a thick gum sole and of course, the iconic side featuring a wavy line.
I managed to cop my pair about 3 weeks, amid a mini shopping spree when I travelled up to Sheffield. The pricing was very affordable, especially if you compare them to other top selling shoes on the market right now. I paid £52 in Schuch, but I know loads of other shoe retailers are selling around the same price mark.
To style them, I’ve paired them up with this boohooMAN inspired outfit below. It features some black skinny jeans, a pink oversized sweatshirt and a military badge bomber jacket. I’m obsessed with the pale pastel pink colour of the sweatshirt, as it’s the perfect colour for Spring, which is my favourite time of the year. The charcoal bomber is also a favourite, as it finishes off the outfit and matches well with the pink/black contrast. To ensure a clean finish, I rolled up the bottom of my jeans, to show off and make a feature of the shoes.
